First Official check-up & Fourth Ultrasound

Today I got to meet Dr. S for the first time. He is a little older then my other Doc, but he is really thorough and very gentle.  Its funny cause both Dr's I have gone to their last name start with and S. We had a full work up today and we got to see the baby get bigger. We got to hear the heartbeat today. Of course I broke into tears. We both did. This was something that we have been waiting to hear. It was difficult for Aaron to see the screen. I feel bad because he felt a little out of the loop this time. Things were so rushed and there was so much to do. He is unsure about this doctor but I like him. The baby's heart-rate has gone up to 186 beats/min. The Doc said that is normal. We had to take lots of blood today and on top of a full workup I am nervous about results but I am hoping for the best. The baby looks more like a baby bean. You can see the outline of the face and their little body is curled up. I can see the yolk sac. Dr. S says that everything is looking really good and the SCH has gone down a ton! YAY. This is good news. The hard part is I have to wait 2 weeks for my next appointment. Going every week has given me something to look forward to while on bed-rest. Seeing the baby growing and doing well has eased some of my fear and seeing that the SCH has gone down in size has eased some of that fear as well. It will be a long two weeks. We can't wait to see our little one again!
